Meet Daisy: Our Newest Duck!

Posted on December 15, 2025 by Sarah

We're excited to introduce the newest member of our flock - Daisy, a beautiful Cayuga duck with gorgeous iridescent green-black feathers! We got Daisy as a duckling back in August, and she's now fully grown and ready to meet customers.

Cayugas are special because their feathers have this amazing beetle-green sheen in the sunlight. Daisy is also incredibly friendly - she waddles right up to people looking for treats. She's already been on two school visits and was a huge hit with the kids!

Fun fact: Cayugas were originally bred in New York State and are considered a heritage breed. They're excellent foragers and have the sweetest personalities. We're so happy to have Daisy in our family!

A huge thank you to everyone who booked with us this year. We're taking a short break in October for some duck coop maintenance, but we'll be back at it in spring! If you're already thinking about next summer, now's a great time to book early.

Posted on May 10, 2025 by Sarah

Thinking about renting ducks but not sure what to expect? Here's a quick rundown of how a typical rental day goes:

Before the event: We'll call you a day or two before to confirm timing and answer any last-minute questions. Make sure you have a flat area cleared for the duck pen.

Delivery and setup (30 minutes): We arrive with the ducks, pen, supplies, and everything you need. We'll set everything up and give you a quick tutorial on duck care. Don't worry - it's super easy!

During the rental: Enjoy the ducks! Feed them, pet them, take lots of photos. They're social animals and love the attention. Just follow the simple care guidelines we provide.

Pickup: We return at the scheduled time to pack everything up. You don't have to do anything except tell us how much fun you had!

It's really that simple. We handle all the hard parts so you can just enjoy having ducks at your event. Questions? Give us a call at (508) 319-9978!

Winter Update: What Our Ducks Do in the Off-Season

Posted on January 12, 2025 by Tom

We get asked this all the time: "What do the ducks do in winter?" Great question!

First, ducks are tougher than you might think. They handle cold weather really well thanks to their down feathers and waterproof outer feathers. Our ducks have a heated shelter they can retreat to when it gets really cold, but honestly, they spend most of their time outside even in winter. They love playing in the snow!

During the off-season (roughly November through March), we focus on:

We don't take many rentals in winter, but we're still available for special requests. If you're planning a winter event and want ducks, reach out - we can probably make it work!
